Apparent wind the vessel would feel given the true wind and its own
motion. The exact inverse of true_from_apparent.
Useful for predicting a tack before making it: rotate the true wind
angle to the other board, run this, and you have the apparent wind the
boat will settle on. Same triangle as true_from_apparent, run the
other way – for 10 kn of true wind at 50° and a vessel making 5 kn:
